NEW CD – LABEL Brilliant
From 21 to 26 October 2014 , at the Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy, France, the recording of a new disk will be made, for the label Brilliant Classic. The Nancy Orchestre Symphonique et lyrique , with Carlo Guaitoli at the piano and conducted by Flavio Emilio Scogna, will record a large program for historical referements and of thoughts: it starts with Magnificat (2011), originally composed for orchestra and piano pédalier, the only modern piece for this instrument, an exclusively instrumental meditation on the mystic of Marian text.
Ondanomala. Vajont, October 9, 1963 (2013), already in the subtitle reveals the historical implications of a personal and national tragedy that in the musical transfiguration becomes a reflection on the inevitability of the cycle of birth and rebirth. The Suite for bicycle and orchestra (2014) is an adaptation taken from High on the pedals. Symphony for bicycle and orchestra (2013), commissioned by the Orchestra Regionale Toscana performed exclusively during the World of cycling in Toscana. Last piece, Vivaldi. In memoriam, is a Opera di Firenze commission, and it will be premiered at the 78th Festival of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
